Where did you grow up?

I was born in the busy Capital of Namibia and have basically been here ever since. I had the best of both worlds growing up – rural farm life, as well as in the hustle and bustle of the city. Thus, where my love for nature and business grew. All aspects of what tourism offers and that’s where the passion for the tourism industry grew so much stronger.

Favourite part of being a travel consultant?

Being a tour consultant is like a great bottle of wine – you may never know all the love and effort that went into to creating the trip but you will taste it. For me that’s what it’s about, giving people a taste and sharing the beauty, culture and appreciation that I find in my country.

Your favourite time of year to travel?

My favourite year to travel, being a nature fanatic, would be just after the rainy season when the greenery starts breaking out of the dormant dry climate, the weather slightly cooling down from the scorching heat as the months approach winter and when wildlife brings new life into the world of wilderness in Namibia

Your favourite destination?

My favourite place in Namibia would ultimately be where there is the best sunset in combination of luscious bush greenery, game and aquatic wildlife – Namibian Pan-Handle (Kavango & Zambezi).

Your favourite lodge?

I have yet to decide on my favourite lodge or establishment within all my years of working in the industry. The options are endless!

What do you like to do when not working?

I love travelling in my own country outside of it being my career path. Learning and experiencing something new everyday and having the opportunity to share this with friends and family in making new memories and taking on new adventures, is what I would call a life well lived.
